WHAT LANGUAGE DO YOU SPEAK?

Integration is one of the most important challenges now faced by South Dublin County Council. One of the main objectives of the Council is to facilitate inter agency collaboration and initiatives to promote integration in the county. Efffective communication is one of the ways we can assist integration and to develop dialogue when doing business with the Council by using the available language skills of our staff. We received enormous interest from staff who would be interested in using their language skills to assist migrant who are experiencing language difficulties in accessing the services provided by the Council. Twenty three members of staff responded to the call and the languages we have available in house includee French, Portuguese, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Italian, Cantonese, Mandarin, German, Swedish, Tamil, Hindu, Telugu and Malayalam. For languages that we do not have available in house we have accesss to a Translation Company.
